What is Parallel Alpha?
Parallel Alpha is a trading card game built on the Ethereum blockchain. A Parallel match, made up of digital collectible cards that may be used to create a deck of cards, is included in the online game under development.
The Shroud, Kathari, Augencore, Earthen, and Marcolina are all Parallels that must be included in a playable deck of cards. You may play as many Parallels as you want for each match, but you must have a full deck of each Parallel you desire to play. Remember that only Universal cards, which may be utilized with any Parallel, may be mixed and matched from different Parallels.
The game occurs in a world after the Earth’s energy resources are depleted. After an attempt to develop a new energy source using fission plus antimatter resulted in “The Event,” commonly known as “The Priming,” the Earthlings divided into four groups.
One group stayed on Earth, while the other two went to Mars and Europa (Jupiter’s moon). The concept of civilizations residing in different parts of the solar system is reflected in the game’s “Parallel” moniker.
The Parallels who had fled Earth several years before desired to return to their planet now that it had become safer over time. The various civilizations will now battle over the right to claim the earth, which has been set up.
You may buy Parallel Alpha cards in packs or on the secondary market on the Parallel Alpha website. Future pack releases will increase edition sizes to make constructing a deck cost-effective for everyone.
Parallel Alpha, sold out of its first pack distribution on July 31, 2021, is a card-based strategy game based on Magic: The Gathering. Premium Packs (4 cards) and Enhanced Packs (3 cards) are the three-tier drop pricing options.
How to Play the Game?
To battle with each other online, the game’s objective is to gather cards and construct decks. The game will initially be released for computers, but it is also anticipated to be launched for mobile devices. The Parallel, on the other hand, will incorporate elements from unique games and allow TCGs (trading card games) to create innovative features.
1vs1 with prebuilt decks will be the primary gameplay mode. Around 40 cards will be included in each of the decks. In addition, unique cards from one of five colonies and universal cards can be combined to create the decks.
To construct a deck corresponding to one of the five parallels, you’ll need to put together the bare minimum of cards. You’ll need at least one complete card game for each Parallel you want to represent. It’s worth noting that universal cards apply to any Parallel. Genesis cards have yet to be assigned any of their characteristics and features.
Before assigning final values to the cards, the development crew wants to ensure that the game is balanced. For example, in the β set and subsequent decks, they want to connect HP, XP, and health points.
How to Purchase Alpha Cards?
Secondary marketplaces like OpenSea and LooksRare sell Parallel Alpha cards. One must create an account on the Parallel Alpha website where pack drops will occur to buy packs during Parallel pack drops. A first-come, first-serve basis has been used for all pack drops.
