NFT Worlds is by far the most powerful and adaptable metaverse platform. Each NFT environment is larger than the entirety of The Sandbox. The almost infinite, open-world can be developed into anything you can think of. NFT Worlds are massively interactive, have extensive developer APIs, and are decentralized, among other things. NFT Worlds is a project based on Minecraft that incorporates a Polygon-based overlay. Polygon is a popular blockchain that offers customers lower gas prices, and relatively faster transaction times.
History
What started as a collection of land plot NFTs called “Worlds” were given out through a free mint back in October 2021. People only need to pay gas in order to mint these NFTs. The thing that separates NFT Worlds from other Metaverses is that they’re using Minecraft as the base layer for their game. If you didn’t already know, Minecraft is the best-selling game of all time. With over two-hundred-thirty-eight million copies sold across all platforms, it still gets one-hundred-nine million active monthly users, even at its ripe age of 10 years old. The extensive open-source ecosystem and active community behind Minecraft make NFT Worlds one of the most accessible NFT projects out there.
Gameplay Features
Builder
With Minecraft used as the game’s base layer, the building system is just an intuitive point and click to place blocks. Players select which block they’d like to place from their inventory, and can proceed to build interactable environments depending on what kind of blocks they decide to use.
Marketplace
The marketplace of NFT Worlds is saturated by a plethora of different Worlds in different states. Some of the available worlds are bare, wild landscapes with mountain ranges, and rivers, while others house fully developed cities, and larger-than-life birthday messages.
How to Earn
NFT Worlds’ rising utility and ecosystem have enormous potential. They now have World staking and renting and a new Avatar system with an impending mint. Players can earn $WRLD by participating in role-playing games and accomplishing quests, winning battle royales, team vs. teams, and free-for-all matches. Basically, by interacting with public Worlds and participating in reward systems created by World owners.
How to Play
NFT Worlds can easily be accessed through any official Minecraft client. All players need to do is select Multiplayer, and manually add the NFT World’s server by inputting “smp.nftworlds.com” as a server address. With cross-platform support, NFT Worlds can be played via PC, Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, and more thanks to open-sourced server bridging systems.
After logging into the server, enter the command “/wallet your ethereum address” to link your wallet to your Minecraft account. Any $WRLD earned while playing will automatically be sent to your wallet.
