What is Art Blocks Curated?
Art Blocks Curated is a section of the website that features a selection of digital artwork. This includes individual artists or groups chosen by the curation board before being presented. These chosen pieces are often created by well-known creators who demonstrate exceptional creative beauty and technical daring.
Art Blocks does not schedule project drops, unlike other curated NFT art platforms. At any time, collectors may browse existing artwork projects and mint NFTs that will generate their one-of-a-kind artworks.
Artists with curated projects may submit new projects in the Artist Playground as a bonus. These projects are highlighted as possible works to analyze since these artists have previous projects approved for curation, even though they are not part of the official Art Blocks Curated collection. The following are some of the other groups:
Art Blocks Playground
Artists who have previously had a curated drop on the platform are included in Playground. It allows artists to let their thoughts wander. Unlike the Curated collection, there is no thorough vetting of art items here, but the high quality of art remains. According to the collection’s fundamental norm, artists are only permitted to release one project at a time. Between two projects, artists must also wait at least a month.
Art Blocks Factory
Art Blocks’ standards for technical quality and aesthetic beauty are highlighted in the Factory Collection, which includes projects chosen straight by Art Blocks.
What Are Art Blocks
Art Blocks was established in November 2020 by Erick Calderon or Snowfro. He claims to have gotten the concept from a personal experience in 2017 when he says Cryptopunks first appeared. Artists can create and sell on-demand generative art on Art Blocks, an Ethereum-based NFT creation platform. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and consumers usually cannot preview how it will appear until they buy it.
Algorithmic processes are used in this art form, which makes the creation one-of-a-kind. Furthermore, unique factors are introduced into the code to make each art piece unique.
The artists who upload their algorithms to the Art Blocks platform set the maximum number of editions. Collectors can sometimes produce art by selecting a style from the choices. When the purchase is completed, the artwork is minted in real time on the blockchain, and an ERC-721 NFT, delivered straight to the collector’s wallet, is created as an output.
How to Get an Art Block Curated NFT?
There are two ways to get an Art Block Curated NFT:
1. Initial Mint
The Art Blocks website allows you to mint directly. Unfortunately, you’ll have to do a gas transaction and pay high gas costs or let the sale slip if you want to avoid paying taxes. The next best bet is to buy from a secondary market since all prior curated collections have sold out.
2. Buying from a Secondary Market
An Art Block Curated NFT can also be purchased from a secondary market like OpenSea. To trade on the secondary market, you’ll need a wallet like MetaMask. It will also need enough Ethereum and Ethereum gas fees in the wallet.
You may acquire the chosen artwork piece by linking your wallet to OpenSea. Then, by filtering the results, you may locate the particular Art Blocks Curated NFT. Also, to avoid being scammed, make sure that you pick a collection with a verified check
