What is CloneX?
CloneX is a 20,000-strong collection of 3D characters generated algorithmically for Metaverse interaction. Since their introduction, RTFKT Studios’ CloneX NFT avatars have grown to become a blue-chip item. RTFKT Studios, a digital sneaker and fashion company, are behind its creation. As more individuals turn to express themselves on the Metaverse, RTFKT has established a solid niche by creating wearables for both the digital and real worlds. This project was created in collaboration with Takashi Murakami, a well-known international artist.
Murakami added his artistic touch by assigning NFT body parts, such as eyes, clothes, helmets, mouth, and other important character traits, to the collection. Because of its cartoonish art, which is his trademark style, CloneX may be immediately recognized as having a Murakami element.
The CloneX team aims to create unique items that may eventually become collector’s treasures, similar to the popular Crypto Punks collection. Holders may employ CloneX characters as AR filters in games, cameras, and even zoom meetings because they are technically known as 3D rigged models.
When Nike acquired RTFKT in December 2021, it made headlines across the NFT sector. Not only has a significant brand invested in NFTs, but it may be the first time a household name completes an actual acquisition of an NFT firm. As a result, CloneX got a quick start after the news, with investors anticipating RTFKT-related stock to rise.
With the news, CloneX’s worth has soared by six, from merely 3 ETH to 6 ETH. Since the mint, RTFKT has continued to provide benefits to CloneX holders as they expand their world, which was a catalyst for the sector.
How the Game Works?
Several NFT projects include lore or a narrative story influenced by science-fiction and futurism. RTFKT then utilized the CloneX NFTs.
CLONE X Corporation is a firm created by three extraterrestrials who visit Earth to accelerate human evolution, as a summary, within the NFT universe. What are they trying to achieve? To build the ultimate Metaverse by transferring human awareness into clone bodies.
Digital CloneX avatars supplant real people’s bodies in this narrative. CloneX avatars also allow humans to travel across the universe, expanding humanity into the cosmos and making these new identities customizable.
A wide range of hairstyles, jewelry, and clothes is available because RTFKT prides itself on being fashion-forward. Collections can now identify which Clone X best represents them.
The Clone X avatar appearances include many different backgrounds, making it one of the unique aspects. In addition, there are no gendering pronouns or skin tones that differ significantly. This attention to diversity was welcomed in a space criticized for having mostly male-presenting avatars.
